After earning a BA from Duke University in Psychology and Economics, Barbara obtained her MBA from Boston University in Healthcare Administration while working for one of the first HMOs in New England. She worked for payors in the New York and New Jersey area developing Medicaid Managed Care programs and was COO of an inner-city community hospital in Newark before moving to Detroit to supervise a state-contracted medical home program for children.

Barbara’s next move was to Vail, Colorado, where she oversaw employed medical groups, several hospital departments, and the creation of the MSO for Vail Health which is where she found her passion in medical group management and operations. In 2011, she moved to the Valley to run medical groups before deciding to support independent providers — most recently, partnering strategic consulting with commercial real estate advisement with CARR, a national healthcare commercial group.

As Barbara adjusts to semi-empty nester status, she is looking to give back to the healthcare community, devote time to important causes, contribute to boards and community initiatives, and enjoy hobbies such as skiing, kayaking, and reading psychology books.

As a CARR agent in Arizona, I can use my decades of healthcare experience to help physicians and other providers maximize their real estate assets strategically and financially. Knowing the market and understanding the needs and desires of medical providers, I provide a truly unique service to clients throughout Arizona.

Who do you serve?

My CARR team and I work with healthcare providers representing them in commercial real estate transactions: lease renewals, purchases, start-ups, or additional offices and investments.
